Featured in the 2016 Northern Michigan University "62 Point Perspective" Devos Art Exhibit, this senior project features a 25+ page illustrated comic and a corresponding Augmented Reality (AR) application that can scan the comic and display it in color to provide an enhanced visual experience.

This project won the Best in Show - Gold Award, an Innovation in Science and Technology Award, and was featured in the NMU Celebration of Student Research and on the WLUC-TV6 morning news show.

The comic's name, Work in Progress, was chosen after the idiom referring to an incomplete project. While the exhibit itself is complete, the story depicted describes the perpetual in-progress state of the art student protagonist. It tells the story of the student and their everyday attempts to improve their artistic skills who ultimately realizes that even after graduating, their future is still open with the opportunity to learn and grow.
